"A witty and emotionally resonant portrait of growing up, while retaining the exuberance of youth." — Claudia Puig, USA Today

"A rare and wonderful film that give thanks for friends and revels in life's low times." — Sarah Mirk, Bitch Media

"The writing is so musical, so attuned to human frailty and aspiration, that I defy anyone to watch the movie without smiling." — Ann Hornaday, Washington Post

Frances (Greta Gerwig) lives in New York, but she doesn’t really have an apartment. Frances is an apprentice for a dance company, but she¹s not really a dancer. Frances has a best friend named Sophie, but they aren’t really speaking anymore. Frances throws herself headlong into her dreams, even as their possible reality dwindles. Frances wants so much more than she has but lives her life with unaccountable joy and lightness. This modern comic fable explores New York, friendship, class, ambition, failure, and redemption.

In the case of inclement weather, the screening will occur indoors.
